Transportation/Loding/Food

The participants who fly with the group will be met outside of US customs in the United States to be escorted to our final destination. Group representatives of your child's airline will see the children through US costumes.

Upon arriving at our final destination the participants will be provided transportation by The Language Connection. The participants will be transported in 15 passenger vans. The vans will be used through the stay in the US, with the exception of the Orlando trip, which will be by flight.

All participants will be housed in hotel rooms. Four children will be housed per room. Roommates will be based on age, sex and native language. The participants will be staying at Fairfield Inn in Tuscaloosa. The Language Connection will have program assistants who stay in the same hotel as the participants. The assistants will not stay in the same room as the children, but will be available the entire night for any emergency or difficulty adjusting being away from home. All food will be provided for the participants. A daily food schedule consists of Breakfast, Snack, Lunch, optional afternoon snack, and Dinner. The Language Connection will also provide all food on trips. A variety of food will be offered to the participants including food from their native country.
