Our International English Camp 2002 is staffed by a group of trained professionals and staff members. The Global Friends staff includes the Director of The Language Connection, Teachers, Classroom assistants, Translators, and Program Assistants. Each staff member strives to provide a positive learning environment for each participant.
Each teacher has a Master's Degree either in Elementary or Secondary Education or TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Each teacher is an experienced professional with many years of teaching experience.
Within each classroom there is both a teacher and one to two classroom assistants. The classroom assistants aid the teacher in creating a positive learning environment for each student. Each classroom assistant has a minimum of a bachelor's or associate bachelor's degree. The classroom assistants will also aid in providing English Practical Training.
The program assistants will provide general care for each student. The PA's will transport the children to activities as well as provide a family oriented environment. The program assistants are trained and experienced in childcare.
The Language Connection will also provide translators who are native speakers of the participant's native language. The translators will not participate in the English Classroom or Practical Training, but will be on standby 24 hours per day in case assistance is needed, especially for medical or emergency situations.
